The Business Plan for Establishing a Company with Zero Waste Strategy

Diploma thesis deals with the creation of a real business plan that offers zero waste products in the city of Topoľčany, Slovakia. The theoretical part focuses on the main idea of the business plan, including a description of used analytical-research methods that aims at the planning and the structured content of the business plan. The analytical part contains particular outputs of processed analyses and research, based on which the most suitable strategy for a starting company is then selected. The last part of the diploma thesis elaborates on the selected strategy into particular structure parts of the business plan

Lovás, P. Environmental pillar of social responsibility in consumer behaviour. Diploma thesis. Mendel University in Brno, 2021. Diploma thesis research deals with environmentally responsible behaviour of Slovak consumers with focus on zero waste. From the results of quantitative survey (n=454) and in-depth interviews (n=5) can be concluded, that Slovak consumers are actively interested in the issue of environmental protection which reflects willingness to demand environmentally friendly products, or zero waste products. The findings also show that such a responsible demand is primarily limited by consumers´ unfamiliarity of zero waste production. On this basis, recommendations are proposed to the marketers in the field of communication, which could support and subsequently increase environmentally responsible behaviour, what is simultaneously the main aim of the thesis.
Zero-waste future?

This thesis deals with the issue of a waste-free future. It discusses the possibilities of sustainable development, circular economy and Zero Waste lifestyle. The thesis is structured in two parts - a theoretical one, which deals with the development and description of the above mentioned issues, and a practical one, which finds out what are the obstacles to the spread of the Zero Waste lifestyle. The research is based on the issues of financial and time commitment to Zero Waste, availability of information and actors involved in Zero Waste activities. It was found that although the contemporary public is still influenced by consumerist lifestyles, a section of it resorts to practicing selected rules of the Zero Waste direction. Most of the people are engaged in waste segregation (Recycle), the remaining areas of R's provide opportunity for development. The main barriers to the spread of Zero Waste lifestyle are the lack of information about Zero Waste, the unavailability of Zero Waste shops and other initiatives, and its time-consuming nature. Recommendations for the expansion of Zero Waste are mainly based on increasing the promotion of sustainable lifestyles, and consequently of the individual Zero Waste rules, through the internet, the media, the activities of cities and municipalities and, last but not least, through educational activities at all levels of education. It is also worth mentioning the support for the creation of new Zero Waste initiatives or the promotion of a change in consumer attitudes.
Households without waste. Distant vision or incoming reality?

This bachelor thesis focuses on a group of people who live a Zero Waste lifestyle. This group of people try to eliminate their waste as much as possible. The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the experience of people who decided to live the Zero Waste lifestyle and find out the motivation of these people to live without waste. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the Zero Waste lifestyle, as it is presented in literature. It complements the practical part which is processed in the form of interviews with respondents who live the Zero Waste lifestyle. It shares their own experiences with this lifestyle and their motivation. In the end there are recommendations to expand the Zero Waste lifestyle in the conditions of the Czech Republic.
Circular economy and packaging-free sale

The analysis was carried out using communication with independent packaging-free stores throughout the Czech Republic and focused on the packaging (especially transport packaging) found in these stores.
A business strategy proposal for the Manufaktura brand with zero waste philosophy

The bachelor's thesis "A business strategy proposal for the Manufaktura brand with zero waste philosophy" deals with an analysis of the problem of waste material from the field of the cosmetics industry and offers one of the many possible solutions to this problem for the Czech cosmetics company Manufaktura. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the basic terms connected to the zero-waste lifestyle are explained, the Manufaktura brand is presented, as are its values and history and examples of functioning alternatives on the field of sustainable caring cosmetics are shown. The theoretical part of the thesis also explains the importance of a sales and a marketing strategy and of strategy planning overall. The practical part of the thesis brings forth a draft of a business strategy aimed at implementing a draught cosmetics programme for several caring cosmetics products. Based on the findings from the performed qualitative marketing research, it brings forth a suitable approach for implementing this type of a sales practice and also brings solutions to the arisen pitfalls connected to it.
Zero Waste lifestyle mapping

The work explores the perception of Zero Waste lifestyle from the perspective of people who live this lifestyle. The main aims of the research are to map the perception of Zero Waste lifestyle in terms of what the lifestyle means for informants and how they perceive it. I also deal with the motivations that these people have for their lifestyle, whether it be external or internal, and I try to map the negative or positive benefits that Zero Waste brings to the lives of its followers. The work is based on qualitative research, namely on seven interviews with people who live in the Zero Waste lifestyle, with whom I conducted semi-structured interviews. Using a thematic analysis, I have identified ten categories that characterize Zero Waste lifestyle: the pursuit of change, the conversion / change of thinking, the voluntary modesty / the fight against consumerism, the saving of money, the fashion trend, the education, the spiritual / religious aspect, the fulfillment / joy / happiness, community sharing, moral contradiction. The main findings of the research are precisely the Zero Waste lifestyle characteristic that builds on authentic information taken directly from people living in this lifestyle. The lifestyle project "Zero waste" in Czech republic

The bachelor thesis has two parts, practical and theoretical. The practical part, titled Český BEZ ... is a documentary film about the new zero waste lifestyle, a life without waste. The film captures this trend in the Czech Republic in a broad context, confront it on the life of four main characters, it presents alternatives to the conventional way of life, shows advantages in particular, and tries to soberly point out a socially important topic. The theoretical part describes the concept of zero waste in a scholar context, it describes its meaning and values, circumstances of the origin, foreign and subsequently Czech projects and the Czech media image. The conclusion of the work briefly defines documentary work, clarifies the circumstances and the process of the practical output and authors own reflection. Bachelor thesis examines consumer behaviour during purchasing in non-packaging stores. It defines main factors affecting customers during purchase and also defines reasons for shopping in classic shops. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the consumer behaviour, marketing communication, packag-ing, waste and also on non-packaging stores. The practical part includes quantita-tive research in the form of survey. The survey with 434 respondents is com-posed of closed and open questions, respondents are customers of classic shops and also non-packaging stores. Based on achieved knowledge from the theoretical part and practical part of the thesis are proposed recommendations for marketing of non-packaging stores, for example more promotion through social net-works. For respondents is also important product range and quality.

Hublová, J. Consumers and packaging free shops. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The diploma thesis deals with packaging free shops with an emphasis on consumer behaviour. The main task of the thesis is to propose general marketing recommendations for packaging free shops and specific recommendations for the selected store. The thesis focuses on the experience of Czech consumers with packaging free shops and their willingness to buy there. To reach the goal, in-depth interviews (n = 26) were used, with shoppers and also with consumers who have not experienced this way of shopping. A questionnaire survey (n = 379) was carried out as well. Based on the results of the research, general recommen-dations were formulated and later specified for the selected shop.
